Who is David Cohen?
Engineer, husband, father, and longtime neighbor ready to serve our community on City Council.
David Cohen has been part of Isle of Palms since 1981, making the island his full-time home for more than three decades. A retired U.S. Navy engineer with 38 years of problem-solving experience, David has also served over 15 years on the Isle of Palms Planning Commission and stepped up during Hurricane Hugo to help his neighbors rebuild. Alongside his wife Denise, a retired teacher, he raised his family here and remains deeply committed to preserving the small-town spirit that makes the island special. On City Council, David will focus on protecting residents’ quality of life while supporting a healthy, balanced tourism economy.
